Snowboard Installation
1. You will need the following things to apply a dekal: Your Snowboard, a screw driver (Phillips head), a cleaning solution (rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner), scissors (or a razer blade), a table or counter top to work on, and most importantly, your dekal.
2. Take your Phillips head screwdriver, remove your snowboard bindings from you board, and set them to the side. Make sure your snowboard is at room temperature, approximately 70 degrees F, for at least an hour before and after you apply your dekal.
3. If you have any existing stomp pads or stickers on your snowboard, use a hair dryer to warm them up, and then peel them off.
4. Clean the surface of your snowboard with a cleaning solution, such as rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner. Make sure you clean the surface the best you can so your dekal will stick properly. Before you do any thing else, make sure the surface of your snowboard is completely dry.
5. Take your dekal with the backing still on and lie it on top of your snowboard. Make sure you line it up as best as possible.
6. After you see how your dekal lines up. Line up the dekal with the nose and the tail of your board. Starting at one end of your board, start applying your dekal. Do it by slowly removing the paper backing and smooth out the dekal onto the snowboard as you go.
7. Once you have your dekal on your snowboard, feel the surface of the dekal. Work out any air bubbles which may have gotten trapped under the dekal. Do this by pushing them to the sides of the snowboard until they are out from under the dekal.
8. When your dekal is all smooth, use your finger and press down the dekal around the edge of the snowboard.
9. Trim off any excess dekal with a pair of scissors or a razor blade. Be sure to do this in one direction only.
10. Feel the surface of your snowboard to determine where your screw holes are for your bindings. Take you Phillips head screw driver and poke holes through the dekal for your binding screws.
11. Put your binding back on your snowboard by following the installation instructions given to you with your bindings.
You're good to go, have a happy dekal day!
